Important PFAM updates regarding COVID-19
Welcome to our COVID-19 Information Page. We will keep this updated with the latest changes around the office as well as new FAQs as they arise.
Updated on December 30, 2021
We are open, and we are here for you. All of our providers have been vaccinated as well as our in-office staff. Masks are required for all.
In addition, we are still actively using all of our touchless protocols and in-office sanitation and cleaning procedures to ensure we are taking every precaution to keep you healthy and well.
In accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we request that clients who are not fully vaccinated refrain from visiting the office within 10 days of any travel, international or domestic. Those who are fully vaccinated should have a negative test prior to visiting the office upon their return from travel. This allows our staff to remain safe, as well as allowing our space to remain safe for you.
Car-to-Clinic Touchless Workflow
To maintain seamless treatment experiences with minimal contact, we have a touchless workflow in place. Remember to fill out your paperwork electronically prior to your appointment and you have the option of saving a card on file for safe and secure touchless checkout.
Reminder that our treatment rooms are fully disinfected between each use. We also have a state of the art AC system with industrial grade UVC light bulbs that, when combined with existing high air turnover in the office, lead to a reduction of 99.9% of circulating viruses and bacteria in the air.
For more details, please read our complete list of protocols and client requirements. All of our current health and safety procedures are in alignment with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and America Med Spa Association (AmSpa). Your health and safety remains our number one concern and priority.
Does my Botox/microneedling/laser treatment increase my risk for contracting COVID?
Not at all. COVID is spread person to person via droplet or through touching an infected surface and then your own mucous membranes. While an interruption in your skin’s barrier increases risk for bacterial infection, COVID requires access to the mucus membranes of your respiratory system or around your eyes. You will be no more susceptible to COVID post-treatment than before the treatment.
As this crisis continues to evolve, remember that part of staying safe is to be well informed. Rely on facts from the CDC and WHO instead of the pseudoscience and fear based advice that tends to gain a foothold during times of panic. We here at PFAM promise to continually evolve our office practices and procedures to stay in line with the latest CDC recommendations.
